A time ago Microsoft introduced the great feature to
provide a long-term protection using a Backup Vault in Azure to replace onprem
tape solutions.
In the scenario where DPM starts to protect datasources
within a workload that has a Recovery Point volume that is smaller than 3 GB the
Online Recovery job will constantly fail with the error ID 100034.
To solve this you must increase the size of the Recovery
Point and Replica Volumes to 3 GB each. After this is done your Online Recovery
Point jobs will start to function again.
This is done via the “Modify Disk Allocation” function
that you access by right-clicking either a Protection Group or a singel Datasource
that is a member of the Protection Group.
